An evening at NICO's once again on

19th November2016

16 of us in total met at Grundy's for a pre meal drink a few shots below show it all until final drinks in the Markeaton.

Chris & Mel ..Mark & Sam first to arrive at Grundy's !!!

Vic almost last to arrive once with a pint tries to recruit a passing lady with the help of Chris.

The "Lucky 13" at Nico's 29th November an Autumn Meal out rather than the Summer.

An initial meeting in GRUNDY's for a pre-meal "beer".Although not very distinct most can be seen in the pictures above & below.

As the time arrived it was a gentle stroll to Nico's for our meal of a variety of starters and mains.... all fortunately listed by Liz for those with poor memories. All were good and accompanied by a variety of drinks and pleasantly served by the smiling staff.

A meal out at The RAJ on 3rd August 2013.

This year the "Magnificent 17"

An initial beer at the Markeaton on seats dried from the earlier rain. I think all but the photographer are featured in the photos.

The last to arrive at the Markeaton but with time for a "half"!!!

The party having not pre-ordered at Liz's suggestion split into convenient groups so as to meet everyones taste. It worked well . ..and finally last orders in the Markeaton where the smiles show it all .

Dinner Nico's Saturday 11th August 2012. The Magnificent 12. Initially 10 meeting at Grundy's for a "GENTLE" aperitif.

Another warm evening tempting Chris and Martyn into SHORTS! After a a glass or two it was a short stroll to Nico's for our 8.00 p.m. "date" .... with pre-ordered starter and main. Here we were joined by Jackie and Martin (on the right of the table talking to Mael) and destined to Turkey (the place not the dish!) the next day. With a variety of different orders we spanned the menu and all enjoyed their selections and the accompanying drinks.... as the faces show.

Chris concentrates on the drinks menu while Mel and Martin look on. Carole & Martyn await a glass for the white wine....Martyn already has his red, hence the smile! Elsewhere Liz & Brian confidentialy exchange views on the quality of their respective dishes and the red wine.

A good meal over we adjourned to the Markeaton back room for final drinks, except Martin & Jackie who went home to pack, being wished "Bon voyage" by all. The first arrivals grabbed a table and some cashed in the "Markeaton vouchers" for a drink. Below Vic & Ann arriving and some seated at the table.

Dinner 30th July 2011

How did we get such weather? Liz Dinner Manager does it again.

A Beer on the roof of the Greyhound at 7.00pm set the scene ... just look at the sunshine ... Martyn kindly gives Carole some shadow!!! Carole and Liz sport the sunglasses. Chris and Mark sample the beer. Mel and Mark Just drink in the sun.

and now to table for an execellent meal .. 3 courses preselected.... and wine according to taste.

A good night with most adjourning to Derby night Life while Vic/Ann & Carole/Paul enjoyed a "glass" in the Markeaton. Thanks Liz we all look forward to the next.
